An American-born conductor makes his BSO debut
Jonathon Heyward grew up in South Carolina, started his musical life as a cellist and chamber musician, and is presently Chief Conductor of the North West German Philharmonic. He makes his BSO debut on March 11, 12, and 13, and I spoke to him by phone from London.
World renowned Sō Percussion Ensemble at Towson University
The TU Department of Music is hosting a guest artist residency with the world-renowned Sō Percussion Ensemble, which will conclude with a concert performed by members of Sō Percussion and the TU Percussion Ensemble directed by Michelle Humphreys, who came in to talk to me about it.
