7-16-12 Word On Wine One Burgundy and One South African Desert Wine!
This morning Mary and I review two white wine winners. The first was a white Burgundy from St. Veran. We reviewed the 2010 Domaine de la Croix Senaillet $19. This nice example of old world Chardonnay has been around for a while and is just as elegant as it was years ago. If you are looking for a moderate priced old world example of white Burgundy…go for it!
Our second wine was a desert wine from Swartland in South Africa. The grape was Chenin Blanc and the price $33 for a half bottle. We reviewed the 2011 Mullineux Chenin Blanc desert wine. Granted $33 for a half bottle sounds like a lot but when compared to other desert wines this is no more expensive than similar examples from Germany or Canada. Some great acidity to balance the sweetness made for a very satisfying experience. Check out the show by clicking below!
Cheers!
