Gratitude – December Campaign wrap-up
This has been a tough year for everyone. After having been unable (through no fault of our own) to fundraise for nearly six months, our December fundraiser was an amazing triumph! Your generosity was unprecedented, and we exceeded all of our goals.
We brought you great music and special programming, and you made this the most successful December in our history. Because of our great members, we ended 2020 ahead of the previous year.
By now, we should no longer be surprised by your generosity – you’ve come through for us so many times before. We continue to be grateful for you and your continued support. You are why we all continue to do our jobs of bringing you great classical music.
In this New Year, please know that we will be here for you. You inspire us.

Original ballpark goal: $300,000
Actual amount needed to meet Dec 31st of previous year: $370,000
Total pledged: $466,386 (includes Challenge dollars)
Total number of pledges: 3,428 (427 New members!)
These numbers are truly AMAZING and put us well ahead of where we needed to be.
In a normal year, Membership makes up around 70% of our operating budget and Underwriting was about 15% (the rest being grants and various types of donations). Since the pandemic began, a majority of our Underwriting has disappeared and Membership is helping to make up that difference. If we continue to stay ahead, we will be able to reduce our overall on-air fundraising for the rest of our fiscal year!
Again, we couldn’t do any of what we do without you. Thank you each and every one of you who pledged or sent notes of encouragement and appreciation.
