Virtual Holiday Brass Concert
GINGER TURNER ANNOUNCES VIRTUAL HOLIDAY BRASS CONCERT
Long time Baltimore resident and retired Sergeant Major, US Army Field Band Ginger Turner, has announced the airing of a virtual Holiday Brass Concert from December 1-31, 2020.
The always sold out annual Holiday Brass Concert here in Baltimore at the Cathedral of Mary our Queen has been cancelled due to Covid-19. However, the Baltimore musicians were able to find funding to produce a virtual Holiday Brass Concert which will be streaming online from December 1-31, 2020. The hour-long concert can be accessed 24/7 by clicking on www.myiwbc.org/holiday-brass. It can be viewed free of charge as often as desired.
The concert will feature the Catonsville High School Steel Band, playing “Carol of the Bells” and soprano Kelli Young singing “Gesu Bambino” and the ever-popular “Highland Cathedral” performed by bagpipers Jean Gould and Laura Neville. Traditional holiday carols such as “Joy to the World” and other favorites will be performed by the Baltimore Holiday Brass Ensemble, produced by Ginger Turner.
