10-5-19 Music in Maryland…Scriabin, Elgar and William Grant Still.
This week we have a nice potpourri of new and old. Andrew Constantine, who lives in Baltimore, has a new recording out of Elgar’s Falstaff with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. We also sample a venerable recording of William Grant Still’s ballet Sahdji featuring the Morgan State College Choir. Since the BSO is playing the Scriabin Piano Concerto tonight, why not play a fine recording of the work and also air an interview I did with pianist Conrad Tao. Here are the listings….Hope you enjoy the show.
