9-21-19 Music In Maryland Listings Potpourri!
Some nice things this week…Eva Mengelkoch is a very talented pianist on faculty at Towson University and we haven’t played her recordings on Music in Maryland yet! My bad, let’s fix it! The Baltimore Chamber Orchestra is performing the Barber Violin Concerto Sunday 9/22, why not hear Joshua Bell’s fine recording with the BSO. Sharon Isbin is coming to Baltimore courtesy of the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society on 10/18 you can find out more at BCGS.org. We are playing a selection from her latest CD with the Pacifica Quartet. It’s super fine. Lastly some Stravinsky courtesy of the BSO. The BSO is currently either locked out according to the players, or on strike according to management…frankly take your pick, it amounts to the same things from the audience’s perspective…no concerts! Personally I’m much more interested in this being settled that figuring out who is to blame. Meanwhile…es geht weiter.
