6-29-19 Music In Maryland.
Amid the total mess that is the current situation with the Baltimore Symphony…Players locked out and a possible strike in September…I prefer to focus on the more pleasant things the orchestra represents…namely it’s fantastic recorded legacy. Here are some nice examples. By the way it was so sweet of David Zinman to visit the picket lines to support the players…Would it not have been sweeter if he had played a concert with the BSO sometime between his departure from the orchestra in the late 90’s and 2019. Nevertheless, he left us some amazing sonic souvenirs and the Rachmaninoff Symphonic Dances show the maestro and the orchestra in top form.
