7-8-17 Music in Maryland…Forte and Piano…
This week Music in Maryland plumbs the depths of musical dynamics with some amazing recordings of the Washington Symphonic Brass. Phil Snedicor their amazing arranger has managed to capture both Carmina Burana and Nielsen’s Third Symphony for brass ensemble. Hold on to your hats! I also thought it would be nice to have something a little softer so we will enjoy lutenist Ronn McFarlane play some Bach on the Baroque Lute and Leon Fleisher will play some etudes for the left hand by Saint-Saens. Leon Fleisher celebrates his 89th birthday later this month so why not start early.
