10-26-15 Word On Wine 2 White Bordeaux!
This week Mary and I review 2 White Bordeaux which are 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Usually this isn’t printed on the lable but in marketing to Americans it never hurts to say what’s in the bottle. Both of these wines were about $10 and both are a nice alternative to either new world SB from New Zealand or old world SB from the Loire Valley(Sancerre).
1)2014 Monsieur Touton Sauvignon Blanc. (White Bordeaux) Nothing wrong with this especially at the price. Maybe not the most defined SB in the world but frankly a delight with dinner at a reasonable price.
2)2014 Chateau Laroche St. Jean. This was even more delightful…a little racier and delightfully acidic. Frankly you can buy either of these with your eyes closed…or just buy a case and get a discount.
Here is our show…enjoy!
