10-15-16 Music In Maryland Handel Choir And Sharon Isbin
It’s my pleasure to welcome the Handel Choir and Music Director Arian Khaefi back to Music in Maryland. We are featuring selections from a concert they performed entitled Wild Roses on March 3, 2015 at Second Presbyterian Church in Baltimore. The concert was to have been performed the previous Sunday but mother nature had other ideas! We are featuring two pieces from that evening. Four of the Sept Chansons by Poulenc and the Mid-Winter Songs by Morten Lauridsen. We are also rebroadcasting the Rachmaninov All Night Vigil which was recorded on Sunday April 27, 2014 at Second Presbyterian Church. The tenor soloist was Brian Giebler and Bass Jason Ryan also joined the chorus. To fill out the program we featured the Rodrigo Fantasia Para Un Geltilhombre featuring guitarist Sharon Isbin who is performing tonight at Towson. Here is a link to the Wild Roses program which contains the texts to the Poulenc and Lauridsen.
