9-14-15 Word On Wine Monte & Duke
This week Mary and I review two reds we are both fond of. Mary reviewed the 2012 DaMa Montepulciano D’abruzzo. $12. Nice Cherries and rustic in all the right places. I reviewed the 2012 Molly Duker Shiraz. $19. I had heard about this wine from Kati and decided to pick up a bottle. 16% alcohol and tons of fruit. Nevertheless the wine didn’t taste hot but was well balanced for the monster it is. If you are looking for something just this side of port…here it is. Not my usual thing but I liked it and would try it again! Take that subtle old world!
