A Celebration of Women Composers
Pianist Sarah Cahill has compiled a three volume set of recordings called “The Future is Female” featuring over 70 compositions by women composers from the past to the present. Ms. Cahill spoke with me about her marathon journey through the vast piano repertoire by composers such as Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, Hélène de Montgeroult, Teresa Carreño, Clara Schumann, Zenobia Powell Perry, and Elena Kats-Chernin, just to name a few.
