4-25-20 Music in Maryland. Fine Arts Quartet!
Ralph Evans who is the first violinist of the Fine Arts Quartet lives in Baltimore. He was kind enough to send me two new recordings featuring the quartet. Their new disc features Beethoven rarities and an early version of Beethoven’s first string quartet. The other disc features Ignaz Lachner’s arrangements of Mozart piano concertos 23 & 24 for piano and string quintet. We also featured the Baltimore Symphony and a bit of West Side Story and the FAQ’s recording of Saint Saens Piano Quintet with Christina Ortiz rounds things off.
