2-3-18 Music In Maryland…Celebrating Stephen Hough!
This weekend Stephen Hough returns to Baltimore to play some Mendelssohn. It’s a good excuse to play some of his recordings. Actually Stephen Hough like Mendelssohn has amazing talents in a wide variety of disciplines…We have interesting repertoire…the mostly forgotten Hummel b minor concerto and also the premiere recording of the Scharwenka fourth concerto. A bit of classic BSO to round things out. It’s February…who couldn’t use a bit of Ecstatic Orange…and Yo Yo Ma is welcome any time.
