Word On Wine Summer Minimalist Cocktails
I adored and still adore Mark Bittman’s Minimalist column. Even though it has ended I still get lots of ideas from those posted on line. I think a minimalist approach to cocktails is a great idea. 4 ingredients MAX! I am so tired of cocktails that have seventeen things in them…I’m also tired of having my food explained to me! (But that’s another matter!)
I made Mary an honest Margarita…Tequila, Cointreau, 2/1 and lots of lime…Lots of ice and shake! Not too sweet…not too gloppy!
The second cocktail was the Maria Mule…the tequila version of the Moscow Mule! The copper mug really helps…Tequila, Ginger Beer…buy a good one and lots of lime!
