1-9-17 Word On Wine Buzet & Riesling!
This week we reviewed two white wines…I wanted to like the first which I brought but ended up loving the Riesling Mary brought!
1)2015 Chateau Loustalet. Buzet $15. This was a blend of Semillion, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. A bit flowery for my taste and not much acid…Mary liked it more than I did. Buzet is an interesting region in the southwest of France I wouldn’t mind exploring more.
2)Leitz Reingau Riesling. $10!!!!!!!!!!!! Leitz is a great producer and this is one honey of an entry level Riesling! If you are looking for something easy to quaff this is it. Buy a case for the New Year.
