2-25-17 Music In Maryland Candlelight Concerts and Peabody!

This week Music in Maryland has some great performances both live and recorded.  We begin with cellist Edgar Moreau who is performing tonight at Candlelight Concerts in Columbia.  After that we have the pleasure of hearing the amazing pianist Behzod Abduraimov play the Prokofiev 6th piano sonata and a beautiful Tchaikovsky encore.  That concert was recorded at a Candlelight Concert in Columbia this past October.

Speaking of last October the Peabody Symphony Orchestra performed the Brahms Second Symphony with BSO Music Director Marin Alsop at the Miriam A Friedberg Concert Hall.  Thanks so much to our friends at Peabody for providing the recording.  To fill we went back to Prokofiev and BSO Music Director Marin Alsop for the following.
