2-13-17 Word On Wine Cotes Du Roussillon and Cahors!
This week we have some unusual French varieties to talk about…Actually they aren’t particularly unusual if you are a fan of wines from La Belle France!
1)2014 Domaine Piquemal. Cotes Du Roussillion Tradition. $15. Grenache/Syrah. This was nice and full bodied. Great table wine for the dead of Winter!
2)Petit Jammes. Cahors. Malbec. $10. This was a party in your mouth. Really dark in color and full of tannins. Not for the timid! Give it a shot!
