8-29-16 Word On Wine White Bordeaux and CDR! Both around $13!
This week Mary and I reviewed a white and a red which are very solid and great for the last days of Summer…that would be the next month or so!
1)2014 Chateau Les Jourdis. White Bordeaux. Made by Bernard Magrez. $14. This had a dull nose but was great on the pallet. We really enjoyed the grapefruit and white flowers.
2)Domaine Pelaquie Cotes Du Rhone. $13. 40% Grenache, 60% Syrah. The Pelaquie family have only been in the wine business for over three centuries so they pretty much know what they are doing! This was a perfectly delightful CDR which would stand up to anything on the grill. Would be great chilled just a tad.
Buy either of these with your eyes closed.
Here’s our show. Cheers!
