8-1-15 Music in Maryland: Baltimore Chamber Orchestra!
This week Music In Maryland has a nice mixture of live and recorded performances by the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra conducted by Markand Thackar. We have live performances of Mozart’s 30th Symphony and Beethoven’s Second from this past season’s performances at Goucher College’s Kraushaar Auditorium. We also have a nice recording from 2009 of violist Victoria Chiang playing the Hoffmeister B Flat Concerto with the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra. In Honor of the Baltimore Symphony’s upcoming centennial we have a 1984 recording of Schoenberg’s orchestration of the Brahms First Piano Quartet. Here are the listings for the recorded pieces.
