5-19-15 Word On Wine Cava & Vermouth!
Before I left for Italy I was supposed to post these Word On Wines. Unfortunately, Italy took all my time and energy and also my desire to post anything anywhere…However, all fabulous things come to an end and it’s time to get serious. First off Mary and I have to thank Ken Ross for some very nice wine that we tasted in late April and I am finally posting the shows…With that in mind…
1)Cava Ya Cuvee 23. This was perfectly delightful and reasonably priced at $16. Could there be a better way to begin anything than Cava. A welcome addition anywhere and to anything…A nice blend of local Penedes grapes with a bit of Chardonnay thrown in. Click here for a great description of the wine.

2)Casa Mariol Vermut. $23. A fabulous vermouth…or Vermut from Catalunya (which may or may not be in Spain 🙂 ) We tried this Barcelona Style with an Olive and an Orange slice. I can’t stop thinking about this and hope they have some locally. If not I will order it. Take a look at their web site.
