Anton Hartmann’s paintings inspired Modest Mussorgsky to write his Pictures at an Exhibition and, in turn, that work inspired Cem Catbas, Artistic Director and Founder of Baltimore Ballet, to write a ballet based on on the art and the music. Here, he talks about his approach to the work.
