12-27-14 Music In Maryland Beethoven’s 9th!

Dear Music in Maryland listeners!  This week we are presenting music that is going to be performed next weekend in Baltimore!  Next weekend 1/2 – 4 the Baltimore Symphony and the Baltimore Choral Arts Society will be presenting Beethoven’s 9th conducted by Nicholas McGegan.  By some amazing coincidence I happened to receive Maestro Mcgegan’s Beethoven’s 9th in the mail and felt it would be a perfect way to support the BSO & BCAS and give listeners a preview of next week’s concerts.  I’m going Sunday and can’t wait.

I was looking for something to add to this performance to fill out the show and chose something fabulous…Elgar’s first symphony with the Baltimore Symphony conducted by David Zinman.
