One would think from this title that Mary and I are reviewing wines from Australia…Actually we are reviewing a red from South Africa and a white from New Zealand!
1)2012 The Wolftrap! This South African red blend was made up of Syrah, Mouvedre and Viognier! Rough and Ready if you’re ready for it! $12…A great mid week dinner wine.

2)2012 Fairhall Downs Sauvignon Blanc. $16. This is a definite winner as are so many of the Marlborough SB’s. Great tropical fruit and great acidity. Nice color…simply a pleasure. Here’s a link to Wine Searcher so you can see the bottle.
