Simon Trpceski’s Impressions of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 4
Simon Trpceski, who will play Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra this weekend, talked with me about the performance. Heading out of the WBJC studios, Trpceski expressed regret over omitting in the interview that he thought Rachmaninoff’s underheard and underperformed concerto was, “sexy!” Actually, his impressions of the concerto are quite compelling and make me want to hear him play it!
