8-29-13 Word On Wine COCKTAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We live in the great age of cocktails…just take a trip to Grand Cru in Belvedere Square and watch the masters dream up the amazing. Mary found some great recipes in Bon Apetit, (Spring 2013) Food and Wine (7/13) and the New York Times. Because we love you I will write them down…I hope you are grateful!
1)Sangria Made with Rose.
Makes about 8 servings.

Mix together…top with the club soda.
3)New York Sour
Makes 1 cocktail
2 oz. Rye or Bourbon (I will use my fav Crown Royal)
1 0z. Fresh Lemon Juice
1 oz Simple Syrup.
Load into cocktail shaker fill with ice and shake until frosty! Strain into Rocks Glass filled with fresh ice, gently pour a half oz. of fruity red wine (Shiraz or Malbec recommended) over the back of a spoon so it forms a nice layer on top! It should look pretty!

1/4 cup cilantro
18 oz. Tequila
