12-30-13 Word On Wine Review 2 From Maryland!
This week Mary and I tasted two wines as part of the Winter Wine at Evergreen event sponsored by the Maryland Wineries Association. Kevin Atticks of the MWA was kind enough to let Mary and me sample a few wines and we are posting a quick review. Hope to see you at the event…see below for the show and for details.
Winter Wine at Evergreen
Winter Wine at Evergreen is unlike any Maryland wine event to date.
Maryland wine is reaching new heights and wineries are producing small lots of wines that don’t get shared to the masses… Winter Wine will showcase the best of the best, as noted by critical acclaim and by our curators, Jonathan Palevsky and Mary Zajac from WBJC’s Word on Wine.
Winter Wine is a place for wine lovers to experience the best that Maryland has to offer in a small, exclusive setting. Wines will be organized by variety, and poured by a winery staff (many winemakers will be in attendance), to provide details about particular varietals, blends and vintages. An upgraded ticket earns you a sparkling wine reception and tour of the beautiful Garrett mansion at Evergreen Museum & Library.
