2-24-14 Word On Wine Review 2 Very Nice Rieslings!
This week I had the distinct pleasure of tasting two German Rieslings! I liked both of them…it wasn’t hard.
1)2012 Monchof Estate Riesling. $18. This had a beautiful picture of Napoleon on the bottle and a very tasty wine inside. Lots of nice fruit with good balancing acid. MWAH!
2)2012 Schafer Frolich. (Sorry I don’t know how to do the umlauts!) $24. Also great fruit and acid but this also had some beautiful floral qualities. Both of these wines will pair with just about anything and will delight the novice wine drinker or the pro.
