11-18-13 Word On WIne…JP Takes Two For The Team
Last week Mary tasted two inexpensive reds for the good of Word On Wine…This week it was my turn! Such sacrifices we make for the Word On Wine Audience! These two wines were from the Eastern shores of bella Italia.
1)2012 Corte Majoli Valpolicella. $14. This is a blend of 3 grapes grown in the Veneto region of Italy Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara…They make a very fine Ripasso and a delicious Amarone…if you are feeling flush. If you haven’t had Valpolicella in a while it’s time to go back to it…if you haven’t tried it…why not!
2)2012 Rosso Piceno Superiore Di Angelis. $12. Rosso Piceno comes from the east coast of Italy in the region of Le Marche. This was a blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese. Frankly a great wine for the money and a nice alternative to other Italian wines which I normally enjoy.
Here’s our review! Enjoy!
