Judith Krummeck joined WBJC as the evening drive time host in 1998. Before immigrating to the United States in 1997, Judith was the Arts Editor for English National Public Radio in South Africa. As well as hosting and producing the arts programs, she presented a range of music programs, including live broadcasts of the symphony concerts by the National Symphony Orchestra, Johannesburg. Judith also worked in television for the South African Broadcasting Corporation, presenting live symphony concerts and other music programs, and hosting the historic nation-wide tour of the London Philharmonic. Judith is a graduate of the University of Cape Town, having majored in Drama and History of Art, and she was a professional actor in Cape Town before moving to Johannesburg to join the English Radio Service of the SABC. She also received a Teachers' Licentiate from the Trinity College of London, going on to lecture in Drama related subjects at the Universities of Cape Town and Stellenbosch, and she holds History of Music qualifications from the University of South Africa. Judith was given the Praise Singer Award for her arts programming from the Foundation for the Creative Arts, South Africa, and she has twice been voted Baltimore's Best by Baltimore Magazine. She currently serves on the Music Committee of the Shriver Hall Concert Series. Judith lives in Baltimore City with her husband, Douglas Blackstone.
