Initiatives:

1. Training Programs: WBJC extends to most of its full-time employees opportunities to participate annually in professional conferences. In addition, all employees are offered professional training on the campus of Baltimore City Community College throughout the year as well as certain tuition reimbursement programs through BCCC and other state institutions.

2. WBJC has developed hiring policies and procedures, in coordination with Baltimore City Community College , to ensure that managers and other personnel adhere to equal employment opportunity practices.

3. WBJC advertises all open positions in both local and national publications, including print and on-line.

4. WBJC has developed an internship program, so that students and others may learn broadcasting skills, in cooperation with Baltimore City Community College .

5. WBJC offers tours of its radio facilities to student and youth organizations in the area, presenting an opportunity to discuss broadcasting careers with the attendees.
