Emanuel Ax’s Brahms project

 

 

 

Emanuel Ax, a marvelous interpreter of Johannes Brahms, has embarked on a project that explores Brahms’s piano music in its original forms but also takes his music further by commissioning contemporary composers to make works around his music. We have the opportunity to hear some of the fruits of this project at the Shriver Hall Concert Series on Sunday evening.
